Big shoes to fill – thank you Ingrid

For the past two years Ingrid Phyland has been the face of GreenGAGE and the Harvest program.

Ingrid built up a great team of volunteers and was often seen at the Castlemaine Farmers’ Market or Wesley Hill market, or on one of our many Harvests. GreenGAGE was set up as a social enterprise and Ingrid organised a series of educational workshops, managed our shop page sales, distribution and co-ordinated a range of fruit tree care services, among many other things! She did all this whilst juggling other work commitments and now, having secured further employment, she will be moving on from her role with Growing Abundance.

We are so grateful for the skills and passion Ingrid brought to Growing Abundance and for having fostered a great bunch of volunteers to carry on. Thank you so much Ingrid! We will miss you.

Have you got the skills and passion to step into these rather large shoes and continue to drive and develop this enterprise? Some of the tasks you could be involved with include:

  • Co-ordination of community-based workshops utilising local resources and skills
  • Co-ordination of local markets selling a range of sustainably sourced garden products
  • Management of our online shop including stocktake, advertising and collection of goods
  • Co-ordination of GreenGAGE services including pruning and wicking bed builds
